Platforms are harder to sell. Here is how to make yours land.
Key learnings: - Why the standard developer marketing playbook breaks down on a multi product platform - A method for picking the one entry point that earns you the right to explain the rest - How to hold a coherent story when five internal teams each want their feature in the headline Point tools are easy. One job, one audience, one sentence. A platform does twelve things for six kinds of user, and every attempt to describe all of it produces a homepage nobody finishes. Meanwhile the evaluation runs longer, more people join it, and the developer who loves one piece of the platform has no authority over the part that actually gets bought. This session covers how to sequence a platform story so developers enter through one door and find the rest themselves, and how to defend that sequence internally when everybody wants naming rights on the homepage.
