Positioning AI products when every competitor sounds the same
The more AI features a company ships, the harder it becomes to answer a deceptively simple question: "So… what actually makes your product different?" When "AI-powered" appears on every competitor's homepage, capability claims stop working as differentiators. Buyers who can't tell products apart, sales teams who struggle to articulate the difference, and brands that feel more advanced, but less distinct. In this session, we'll walk through a framework for building outcome-led AI positioning — one that starts with buyer pain rather than product capabilities, maps genuine competitive white space, and produces a single, structured position that holds up in customer conversations and internal reviews alike. Using the Outcome Inversion methodology, this session unpacks the process PMMs need to carve defensible space in markets where everyone claims the same capabilities. Whether you're positioning a net-new AI product or trying to differentiate one that's lost its edge, you will leave with a practical, fill-in-ready framework for building AI positions that actually cut through.
