Muhammad Saad Khan is a seasoned marketing leader with over 11 years of experience at Cloudways, where he was the first marketing hire and played a pivotal role in scaling the company from inception to over 100,000 customers—culminating in its $350M acquisition by DigitalOcean in 2022. Saad led demand generation across content marketing, SEO, social media, YouTube and podcast sponsorships, Developer Relations (DevRel), and analytics using Mixpanel and PowerBI. Under his leadership, Cloudways’ blog and website traffic grew to ~2 million monthly visitors, and daily free trial signups increased from just 1 to over 500. In 2018, he co-founded the Product Marketing function, centralizing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and launching high-impact products and partner addons including Cloudflare Addon, SafeUpdates, Cloudways Autonomous, Malware Protection, DNS Made Easy, and Cloudways AI Copilot. His product launches drove millions in revenue and significantly expanded the platform’s capabilities. Saad also built and scaled the DevRel team, managing over 50 virtual events, Twitter chats, and webinars, and leading Cloudways’ presence at major WordCamp events across Europe and the U.S.
